ROSE POPAY a.k.a THE ART TART

Causing an absolute sensation at this years Cans Festival the ART TART was born and we were determined to track her down and sign her up!

Rose Popay was born to performers and thus, born to perform. As founding members of Bath's Natural Theatre Company, Rose's parents created a magical, inspiring environment within which nothing was impossible and everyday is an adventure. The Natural Theatre Company has provided a Platform for Rose to perform internationally.

Not only is she a seriously talented performer but also a seriously talented artist - her most recent works combine her performances with her art.


Whilst working with Damien Hirst on his spin paintings and Butterfly pieces rose used the empty butterfly boxes and left over paints to create these incredible portraits while Damien was fishing for sharks.
