"My work I think displays an unnatural obsession with the human form: our awkwardness and, ultimately, my fascination with evolutional anomaly. My paintings are studies of the unnatural, and mainly, through our own interference, how we want to be perceived. I create my work with a deliberate visceral edge, but then upset the balance by introducing some kind of foreign media - much like the opposite of cosmetic surgery - where something looks wrong because it's too good to be true; but that's why you can't stop staring ...."
