Trained in Architecture and painting for most of his life David V Johnson has been developing these semi-abstract collages – mixing or distorting characters/images/texts/newspaper cuttings/paint/etc. in order to expose an image or ‘character’ that is sometimes random, sometimes beautiful, sometimes uneasy or sometimes only very slightly odd.
