'Borderline' is a curated group show at Red Propeller Gallery opening on Friday November 3rd and running until December 7th.
Red Propeller artists have been invited to explore the idea of boundaries - interpreting this highly relevant theme in their own unique style. Works to be exhibited include...
• Truly talented rogue taxidermist, Janec Van Veen, exploring the theme of Borderline Personality Disorder.
• Groundbreaking collage artist David V Johnson's arresting 'Transmutant' installation.
• Brazilian Street Artist L7m soaring high with his beautiful, exotic birds. Simultaneously exploring the politics of walls.
Also featuring the work of actor Connor McIntyre - Coronation Street bad boy, 'Pat Phelan'.
Connor took a rest from acting in 2003 to explore other aspects of his creativity - emerging with a first class honours in fine art and a masters degree in contemporary art practice at the University of Plymouth. In itself marrying his soap star persona 'Pat Phelan' with Connor McIntyre - the serious, intellectual, highly respected Artist. This is an interesting exploration of playing at the borders - his abstract paintings referring to landscapes in a unique and fascinating way add another dimension to the theme of Borderline.
